My name is Andrea Kurpinsky, and I am writing this letter to convey my full endorsement of Kariin Shumway for School Board representing Area 2.

I have been a teacher at Greenbrook school for over 23 years now, and I have never been more excited at the prospect of an individual holding a seat on our school board. I have personally gotten to know Karin these past 5 years as our daughters make their way through elementary school together. I have seen Karin offer her time and energy to our school in so many capacities, whether it is helping in the classroom by heading the Room Parent job, being present at school events, or being active in the PTA. What most stands out to me in my conversations with Karin is how she truly looks at things from the perspective of what is best for children.

Karin is honest, fair, and a true civil servant. What better a human for the job than one who has children at the elementary, middle, and high school level of our district? She has a vested interest in what is best for our children, and she will always make collective decisions with that in mind. Karin will listen with an open mind.

She will establish a good working relationship with the superintendent and other board members because Karin has stellar social and communication skills. She is a well known member of the community, and I have no doubt she can build public support for our school district and all education issues surrounding it. I wholeheartedly endorse Karin Shumway for School Board representing Area 2.
